Member Bill of Rights
To meet its obligation to educate members and to improve their
financial well being, AA Credit Union has established relationships
with preferred dealer networks. Three realities must be recognized
for these relationships to work:
- AA Credit Union members are entitled to make informed decisions
by knowing costs, values, and histories of vehicles.
- Dealers are entitled to make a fair profit on their vehicles
and services.
- AA Credit Union is entitled to finance vehicles to members'
benefit.
- AA Credit Union and dealerships participating in our Preferred
Dealer Networks endorse the following principles as the Member
Bill of Rights.
Participating Dealers agree to:
- Offer new and pre-owned "Premium" vehicle pricing in a "no hassle,
no haggle" manner to AA Credit Union members.
- Inform AA Credit Union members of all rebates and incentives
available.
- Provide manufacturers ' invoices to AA Credit Union members
upon request.
- Inform AA Credit Union members of known prior damage that would
affect the values of used vehicles.
- Assign representatives to service AA Credit Union members and
to ensure that those representatives are familiar with these principles.
- Notify the concerned Preferred Dealer Network when representatives
change to ensure that current representatives are identified on
that Preferred Dealer Network's Web site so that members can schedule
appointments to speak with identified representatives.
- Allow AA Credit Union the "right of first refusal" on vehicle
financing.
AA Credit Union agrees to:
- Provide FREE vehicle history reports to members before they
purchase used vehicles when requested directly from an AA Credit
Union lending representative.
- Review FREE of charge all paperwork related to the purchase
of vehicles before any transactions are completed.
- Tell its members when dealers' financing is cheaper than AA
Credit Union's financing.
