Consumer Advisory And Research Service (CAARS)
The CAARS Promise
Financing your vehicle at American Airlines Federal Credit Union
(AA Credit Union) is different from any other financial institution
or auto dealership: We get stronger financially when you get stronger
financially - especially when you save money and buy responsibly.
That's why our goal is to help you buy wisely and save money, not
simply to provide you with a loan. And that's why we make this promise:
We'll send you to another financial institution if they will give
you a better deal on your loan. Do you know any dealership, financial
institution, or internet buying service that will do that?
Our Consumer Advisory And Research Service (CAARS) program educates
you on all phases of a vehicle purchase by providing you with "an
oasis" from the pressure and confusion that is often associated
with the car buying process.
We fulfill the CAARS promise because our goals are different than
the other players in the auto industry. A dealer, or their finance
sources, has two objectives: 1) to sell you their product or service,
and 2) to sell it to you at the maximum price you will pay.
Our job, on the other hand, is to make sure you buy what's best
for you and to make sure you pay the least for it. If you qualify
for the lowest rate, you get it. If you want, Guaranteed
Asset Protection (GAP), credit
life or disability insurance, you pay what everybody else pays.
Since we're member owned, our primary interest is your financial
well-being. When you prosper financially, we prosper. You save money
with us, use our products and services, and generally contribute
to our ability to continue to serve its member-owners with new and
improved products and services. And, since we are not-for-profit,
we're all for you!
We've have always played a leadership role in the development of
education programs for our members. That's why in 1990, we created
the CAARS program, designed to help you make smart decisions about
purchasing a vehicle - new or used. From research to financing,
if you rely on the resources available through our CAARS program,
you can save both time and money - lots of money!
